Memorabillia & Memorials


When the School closed in 1981, there were in existence a large number of documents, pictures, memorials and memorabilia of various kinds that represented the history of the school, what it stood for and its achievements.

After the School closed, a number of the historical documents (minutes of governors’ meetings, school lists, books of letters etc.) were donated to the Westminster Library Archive.

But there is still a collection of other documents and memorabilia (school magazines, lists of masters, school rolls, photographs, letters, camp diaries, school ties etc.) that is maintained by Peter Woodman in his role as archivist. See the Archive page for more information.

There were many items (for example: prints, oil paintings, trophies) that were left in the school building at 248 Marylebone Road when the Abercorn School occupied it from 2002, but were then moved temporarily to Omar Harmon’s home when Abercorn vacated the premises.

The Forest Green site also contains a number of school memorials and in the Mill building there are some prints and photos
